[Saskatoon, Saskatchewan], Nicholson Brothers Motorcycles, 1942. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. pp. 435, [1]. Small 8vo. measuring 13 x 20 cm. Illustrated red cloth over boards with navy-blue lettering and illustration of an engine to the spine, and front board respectively. Gorgeously illustrated throughout with striking period photographs, schematics, diagrams, illustrations, charts, tables, et al. Extremities exceptionally well-perserved showing but the lightest edgewear, binding shaken and quite tender but holding, text-block firm and sound. Uniformly age-toned, front endpaper split at joint revelaing mull beneath (remains quite tender but holding). Notwithstanding, the text-block remains exceptionally well-preserved. An examination of the available bibliographical records and a comparion of the pagination of subsequent editions (e.g. the Second Revised Edition was published in 1945, and numbering 560 pages, see OCLC #3532233) indicate that this edition was most likely published in 1942, thereby, preceding the 1945 (Second, Revised) edition by three years and, therefore in all liklehood making this the First Printing of this remarkable work of mechanics. Overall, very good+. At time of cataloguing this edition could not be located in OCLC. Rare indeed. .
